You are the first line of defense in keeping your pet healthy. Be on the lookout for changes in your pet’s condition and behavior that may indicate health problems

The following list includes common signs of illness. If you notice any of these, you should call us to make an appointment to have your pet examined!

  • Eye discharge, redness or squinting
  • Ear discharge, redness or odor
  • Diarrhea or vomiting, especially with blood
  • Coughing or sneezing
  • Straining to urinate
  • Severe itching
  • Excess loss of hair, either symmetrical or in patches
  • Loss of appetite
  • Increased water consumption and / or urination
  • Frequent blinking or keeping eyelids closed
  • Listlessness
  • Seizures
  • Weight loss/gain
  • Change in appetite
  • Change in behavior
  • Weakness
  • Pain
  • Disorientation
  • Change in interaction with family members
